Contrary to [what most think re: popular belief], when it comes to business, rather than being completely disengaged and robotic, you obviously should be “human” and naturally engaging (by content invitation) and—as solicited or summoned. But opposite that, (where the care and concern for and of the business and protection of your customers and domain/site visitors is concerned concerns you) in business, you digitize (where your customers spend their money and are routed to spend their money. SSL (https) certificates are a must. You’d be surprised at how many of ‘entrepreneurs/socialmediapreneurs’ and “brands” don’t know the first thing about digital integrity because many of us are more concerned with putting on for “out there” vs. putting on (and protecting our site visitors and digital integrity). I don’t think a site visitor or customer alive would be more concerned about putting on and performing in the digisphere of social media with and for them over performing the necessary (back end) tasks with your website host to ensure their basic information and computers are protected when buying from and patronizing your business/site.
I’m a bottom line kinda girl and this here is the bottom: the majority of people online “blog” on social media (Facebook and Twitter, IG etc.). Facebook, IG, and Twitter are responsible for “digital integrity” these people are just renters of descending space. If you own a website online, you bought a home (a domain). You own that home and therefore, are responsible for the property-in every way—for your visitors. Digitize..before you even think ‘monetize.’ It’s the humanizably respectable way to socialize with integrity by its truest meaning: Something you do and know was done.
